Working Together

Bring what is actually happening.

You do not need to know what kind of help you need before we meet.

You may come with a relationship, a decision, a reaction you keep repeating, something you are carrying, a physical tension that seems connected to your inner life, a spiritual question, or simply the sense that something in your life needs to change.

We start there.

I listen to what you are saying, but also to what may be underneath it — the assumptions, beliefs, loyalties, fears and patterns quietly organising the experience.

And then we work with what actually matters.

A session is 90 minutes for a reason.

I don't want us to spend most of our time arriving at the important thing and then stop because the hour is over.

Ninety minutes gives us room to settle in, understand what is happening, follow something deeper when it appears, and allow an actual shift to take place.

Sometimes that shift is a new understanding.

Sometimes it is relief.

A decision.

A difficult truth that finally becomes possible to integrate.

A change in how you experience yourself.

Or simply the feeling that something which was tangled has opened into a clear path.

I don't have one procedure that I apply to everyone.

I begin by understanding what is actually happening — not only the story, but the beliefs, assumptions, emotional learning and patterns underneath it.

From there, we work where change is most useful.

I may ask a question that changes the way you see something, challenge a belief, work with EFT, imagery or parts, follow something through the body and nervous system, revisit an older experience, or help turn a realisation into a practical change.

Often several of these belong naturally in the same session.

Over the years I have studied and practised across psychology, coaching, NLP, EFT, somatic and nervous-system approaches, memory reconsolidation, meditation, spirituality and other methods of change.

Many of these approaches see people very differently from one another.

I have found that useful.

It taught me to look beneath the label:

What is this method actually doing? Why might it help this person? What does the situation really require?

I am not interested in giving you another system you have to keep managing yourself with forever.

Wherever possible, we work toward change that becomes easier to live because it has taken root — not because you keep reminding yourself to perform it.

I use what is useful.

The person comes before the method.

When understanding isn't enough.

There are patterns we can understand perfectly and still continue to live.

Sometimes what keeps something in place sits deeper than conscious understanding — in emotional learning, memory, the body or nervous system.

When that is where the issue lives, we can work with it directly.

That may involve memory-reconsolidation-informed work, nervous-system regulation, EFT, imagery, parts work, somatic processing or another experiential approach.

The purpose isn't to make the work deeper or more dramatic than it needs to be.

We work at the level where something can actually change.

And when something genuinely changes, the aim is that you need less effort to keep changing it.

There are many places the work can take us.

Relationships

Love, expectation, co-dependence, control, boundaries, heartbreak, freedom, projection, idealization, blame, honesty, family dynamics and the ways old programs enter present relationships.

Yourself

Identity, self-confidence, inherited beliefs, shame, anger, fear, emotions, social conditioning, intuition, old roles and the difference between who you are and what you learnt to become.

Direction

Decisions, purpose, meaning, work, creativity, goals and creating a life that fits you rather than one you merely know how to tolerate.

Body & nervous system

The nervous-system side of automatic behaviors, somatization, overwhelm, self-regulation and memory-reconsolidation, all while respecting the role of appropriate medical care.

Spirituality

Spiritual exploration is welcome here.

So is questioning it.

If spirituality enriches your life, we can explore it. If it has become a way of escaping your life, we can work with that too.

Nothing has to be believed simply because it is spiritual — or dismissed simply because it cannot easily be rationalized.

What you can trust here

There are no compulsory shoulds.

I am not here to replace one set of rules with another, or to make your life conform to my idea of what a healthy person should look like.

We are looking for what genuinely supports the life you are trying to live.

I will be on your side without simply agreeing with everything.

Sometimes being useful means listening.

Sometimes it means gently directing.

Sometimes it means saying something difficult that I think matters.

The direction is always toward greater freedom and truth for you — not toward obedience to me.

You do not have to protect me from being human.

I have lived enough of life that very little human experience surprises me.

We are humans here.

You can bring the part of the story you are proud of and the part you would rather nobody knew.

I will tell you when I am not the right person.

I don't guarantee results and I am not a magician.

Some situations require medical care, addiction treatment, psychiatric support or another specialist.

If I believe somebody else would serve you better, I would rather tell you honestly than keep you as a client.

What I hope you leave with

Not homework you secretly don't want to do.

Not another system for constantly managing yourself.

Ideally, you leave a little more gathered.

Clearer about what is actually happening.

More at ease with yourself.

More able to trust what you know.

With greater freedom to choose instead of automatically repeating something old.

Sometimes with a concrete decision or action.

Sometimes with relief.

Sometimes with renewed hope.

And sometimes with the unmistakable feeling:

Yes. This is more like me.

Bring what is real.

We'll begin there.

Sessions are online and last 90 minutes.

One session or ongoing work

You are welcome to come for a single session around something specific.

Sometimes one meeting gives someone exactly what they needed.

At other times, something opens into work that is useful to continue — for a few sessions, occasionally when life brings something up, or over a longer period.

There is no package you have to commit to.

We can decide what makes sense as we go.
